France will send radars and defense systems to protect Yanbu

BLUF France will send soldiers, radar systems and defense systems to protect the Yanbu energy hub on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, President Emmanuel Macron said. It is a new French commitment within the wider Saudi-defense response covered earlier this week. Macron named no system, force size, arrival date, command arrangement or rules beyond a protective, non-belligerent mission.

Netherlands and EOS plan military-ready counter-drone laser

BLUF The Netherlands and EOS intend to mature a High Energy Laser into a military-ready counter-drone weapon and study production in the Netherlands through a Dutch-led European supply chain. The ministry says it would buy several systems if development succeeds. This is a letter of intent and conditional acquisition plan, not an awarded production order or fielded capability.

Lyntris qualifies a second-source assembly for SPY-6 production

BLUF Lyntris says it completed qualification for the wedgelock assembly used in the SPY-6 radar modular-assembly chassis after roughly two years of engineering and process work. The additional qualified source could reduce a component bottleneck as SPY-6 production scales. Qualification does not disclose an order, production volume, delivery schedule or independently measured effect on radar output.

L3Harris clears design review for 18 Tranche 3 tracking satellites

BLUF L3Harris completed Preliminary Design Review for the 18 missile-warning and tracking satellites it is building for SDA's Tracking Layer Tranche 3. The review establishes baseline designs for spacecraft, infrared payloads, networking, communications and ground elements. It advances a December 2025 award toward production; the satellites are not yet built, launched or providing the planned near-continuous coverage.

MARSUR exchanges unmanned and NATO data live at REPMUS

BLUF EDA says MARSUR exchanged data in real time with national command systems and NATO during REPMUS, ingesting information from unmanned and allied sources and redistributing it across the 23-nation network. The exercise is a live interoperability milestone, not operational EU Secret certification; funding and Council approval are still needed for the proposed 2027–28 classified-network upgrade.
