Ten verified developments add a Lithuanian airspace response and a Lithuania-Ukraine production plan to the eight reports published earlier today. Seven cards are new and three are substantive updates to prior coverage. The airspace contact remains unidentified and the reported debris is under investigation; the industrial plan is a letter of intent rather than a production award. The UK freeze account remains a committee statement rather than a formal cancellation notice, while contract ceilings remain separate from obligations and certification from combat performance.

Unidentified track triggers NATO scramble over northern Lithuania

BLUF NATO fighters launched from Siauliai after an unidentified radar track moved north from Poland, but poor weather prevented visual identification and no engagement occurred before the track disappeared. Lithuanian and Latvian authorities are investigating possible debris and damage near the border; neither the object's type, origin nor reported self-detonation is confirmed.

LRT / BNS · Public-broadcaster reporting with named official military statements and allied corroboration

Reported 18 October 2026 · Radar contact and alerts occurred between about 06:15 and 08:00 local time on October 18; reporting published the same day

LRT/BNS quotes Lithuanian defence and military officials on the radar track, fighter launch, loss of contact and ongoing debris inquiry. Latvia's National Armed Forces independently confirm the regional alert, NATO launch, lack of engagement and an unverified possible detonation. The card therefore avoids identifying the object as a drone or treating debris as confirmed.

Ukraine links Air Force threat data into public alert map

BLUF Ukraine's Air Raid app now receives Air Force data over protected channels and displays approximate zones and movement directions for some cruise missiles and attack drones. The ministry says preprocessing removes sensitive detail; positions can lag, are not real-time tracks and exclude ballistic or faster-than-2,000-km/h threats. Users are told to shelter on the alert, regardless of the map.

Romanian F-16s down two jet-powered Geran drones

BLUF Romania says two F-16s launched from Borcea at 17:43 and destroyed separate jet-powered Geran-family attack drones over Romanian territorial waters at 18:01 and 18:05. The targets had spent about two and five minutes in national airspace. The ministry gives no weapon type, engagement range, wreckage analysis or independent sensor record.

What changed: Romania now reports two confirmed F-16 shootdowns over its territorial waters and identifies both targets as jet-powered Geran-family attack drones; the prior card covered four October 14 threat waves and brief airspace entries without a Romanian engagement or target identification. Previous coverage

Romanian Ministry of National Defence · Official allied operational reporting

Targets entered Romanian airspace and were destroyed at 18:01 and 18:05 local time on October 17

The ministry's October 17 update supplies the launch and engagement times, national-airspace duration, location and Geran-family jet-propulsion identification. It does not publish radar plots, weapon expenditure, wreckage imagery or an external assessment.

F-22 pilot directs Fury drone in airborne control test

BLUF An F-22 pilot issued high-level tactical directives to one YFQ-44A Fury in flight, and the uncrewed aircraft's autonomy executed maneuvers and simulated combat tasks. The Air Force calls this an integration milestone, not an operational fielding event; it disclosed no interface, datalink, test score, exact flight date or multi-aircraft control result.

What changed: The latest prior card covered FQ-42 arrival at Creech and manufacturer-reported production capacity. The Air Force now reports that an F-22 pilot issued tactical directives to a YFQ-44A in flight and its autonomy executed simulated combat tasks. Previous coverage

Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs · Official military test reporting

Reported 16 October 2026 · Airborne demonstration conducted earlier in October; Air Force release published October 16

The Air Force release establishes airborne command from the F-22, one YFQ-44A, autonomous execution and simulated tasks. It does not publish the exact test date, cockpit interface, datalink, evaluation result or multi-aircraft control. Anduril's first-for-the-pair and Edwards details were reported separately and are not needed for the card's core claim.

U.S. creates year-long drone restriction along southern border

BLUF FAA, DOT, DoW and DHS announced a drone restriction extending one nautical mile north of the U.S.-Mexico border from the surface to 400 feet. The linked domestic notice lists October 19, 2026 through October 19, 2027 and requires most access requests 48 hours ahead. Officials cite cartel-drone threats and directed-energy defenses but disclose no sites, systems or engagements.

Federal Aviation Administration / Department of Transportation / Department of War / Department of Homeland Security · Official interagency policy and airspace notice

Domestic notice lists October 19, 2026 through October 19, 2027

The press release says the restriction was effective October 16, while the linked formal domestic notice states October 19, 2026 to October 19, 2027. The card uses the notice's dates and records the mismatch rather than inferring an earlier legal start. The directed-energy statement is not treated as a deployment inventory.

Navy opens $80 million MQ-25 support contract vehicle

BLUF Boeing's N0001927D1006 is a not-to-exceed $80 million IDIQ for MQ-25A system improvements, configuration work, integration, production readiness and sustainment through October 2031. The Navy obligated no money at award; future orders will carry funding. The sole-source vehicle is separate from September's $562 million three-aircraft LRIP award and does not itself buy another Stingray.

U.S. Department of War / PrimeRFP / U.S. Navy · Official contract notice with exact award index and service programme context

Contract announced October 16; ordering period runs through October 2031

The official contract notice supplies the ceiling, instrument, scope, completion date, obligation status, sole-source status and contracting office. The headline links the exact PIID index because the shared October 16 official batch URL already anchors another feed event; that official batch remains the controlling supporting source. The September LRIP release only distinguishes aircraft procurement from this support IDIQ.

UK committee hears small-drone follow-on was frozen

BLUF MP Alex Baker told the Defence Committee that Evolve Dynamics delivered 245 battlegroup-ISR drones in August, was asked to prepare for up to 1,000 more, then saw the programme frozen for budget reasons. Defence Secretary Wes Streeting accepted the episode as poor partnership and requested details; no formal cancellation notice, funding figure or restart plan was published.

What changed: The prior card said delivery of 1,025 small drones, including 245 Evolve Dynamics aircraft, was nearing completion. A committee member now says the 245 were delivered in August, a proposed follow-on of up to 1,000 was prepared and the programme was then frozen for budget reasons. Previous coverage

UK House of Commons Defence Committee · Official parliamentary oversight record

Committee evidence published October 13; the member said 245 drones were delivered in August and the follow-on was frozen after the Defence Investment Plan

The freeze, reason and up-to-1,000 follow-on are statements by committee member Alex Baker. Defence Secretary Wes Streeting agreed the described episode was poor partnership and asked for details, but did not independently confirm a contract value, formal cancellation instrument, duration or restart decision. The September MOD release independently establishes the 245-aircraft FOXE-NATO package.

EASA certifies DIRCM suite on Bombardier Global 7500

BLUF Ondas says BIRD Aerosystems completed installation and EASA certification of an Airborne Missile Protection System with directional infrared countermeasures on a Bombardier Global 7500. Certification establishes an approved aircraft configuration, not combat effectiveness. The issuer identifies missile warning, threat confirmation, tracking and DIRCM functions but gives no customer, aircraft quantity, test conditions, schedule or independent performance data.

Installation completion and EASA certification announced October 13

The issuer release identifies the airframe, EASA certification and system functions. No EASA certificate number or separate approval record was located in this pass, so operational effectiveness and false-alarm language remain attributed to the manufacturer.
