From my oven

Just leveled up the pizza game!

Just leveled up the pizza game! The Ooni Koda 16 had arrived in my pizza story, and I gave it a place right at the top of the post. One photo catches the pizza inside the oven, with the flame running along the back and left side. The next shows the result on a cooling rack: a broad layer of browned cheese and a raised rim dotted with dark blisters.

When someone asked whether this was a restaurant pizza or one I had made at home, the answer was easy: “home made of course!” Another Ooni owner said they loved theirs. My early verdict was simple too: “I’m a fan so far.”

The comments were already moving on to what should come next: a pizza party, a dessert pizza, more reasons to fire it up. That is a fitting welcome for a new oven. This post captures the upgrade while the possibilities were still multiplying.

The finished bake: browned cheese and a blistered rim, resting on a wire rack.

A wider view from my phone, taken moments before the close-up: the height of the rim and its darker patches are easier to see.
