Thursday pizza night

A baked pizza on a round screen, with pepperoni on one half and diced pink toppings on the other.

Thursday pizza night. The caption was only three words, but the pie had two distinct halves: pepperoni across one side, a scattering of pink diced topping across the other, and cheese joining the whole thing together.

The comments supplied the conversation around dinner. Someone wanted crispier pepperoni edges; others wanted to know where the pineapple was. My answer to that one was that I really should have added it. There was also a suggestion of putting it on the pepperoni side, which would have made a different pizza from the one in this picture.

I photographed it still on its round pizza screen, with the pale, floury rim framing the much darker cheese. The phone archive adds a view before the green garnish and a lower angle of the finished pie. Together they give this ordinary Thursday pizza night a fuller record, alongside the small topping arguments that followed it.

A lower angle makes the rim and the division between the toppings easier to see.
