Today’s update leads with U.S. and allied interceptor acquisition: Lockheed’s PAC-3 Edge advances in the Army’s Future Interceptor competition, Japan discloses a signed purchase of Ukrainian SkyFall interceptor drones, and a European research team begins the next phase of unmanned air-to-air refueling. A material update identifies Kuwait as the previously unnamed buyer in EOS’s conditional nationwide counter-drone contract. Army developments also include a small PERCH 2.0 prototype order for Abrams experimentation, FUZE’s plan to connect rapid prototypes to acquisition programs earlier, and a $14.55 million Project ARIA award for resilient tactical-edge AI. Evening reporting adds an Apache–Sentinel counter-drone kill chain, UK test-range access and investment, the Coast Guard’s first MQ-9B buy, GAO oversight of military navigation resilience, NATO multi-domain C2 training, European F-35 sustainment capacity, attributed Ukrainian strike results and a Polish counter-air solicitation. A reader-requested BLAZE catch-up adds eleven distinct 2026 milestones from February through September, retaining their original report dates and separating deliveries, tests, orders, demonstrations and integration agreements. Vendor claims, planned work and completed fielding remain distinct.
